Meet Mary Anne Quinn, Founder of Creatively Attached Ministry
On her 10-year journey to wholeness, Mary Anne discovered that trauma can be healed when we invite an awareness of Jesus' presence with us in our painful memories. Her path from dissociation to integration, from disorganized to secure attachment with God and others, required faith, perseverance, and a lot of help from a lot of people. Her personal experience of trauma healing, along with her training as an Immanuel Prayer facilitator, have equipped Mary Anne to help others find their own creative paths to joyful, securely attached relationships. Through Creatively Attached Ministry, Mary Anne shares her story as a writer and a speaker, offers consultations and prayer ministry appointments, teaches classes on the Immanuel Lifestyle, and coaches Immanuel Prayer facilitators.
As a teacher for thirty years, working with children with learning challenges, as well as their families, Mary Anne has developed a unique understanding of attachment issues in children and adults. Her monthly ezine, All His Kids, offers devotions about God's love as revealed in his creation and fun activities that inspire and equip parents and grandparents of young children to build secure attachment with God and each other. Mary Anne is an Immanuel Prayer facilitator. She completed Alive and Well Ministry’s Prayer Ministry Training course and receives ongoing training and coaching. She also participates in one of Dr. Karl Lehman’s mentoring groups. Other training includes ThriveToday’s Tracks One and Two and Restoration in Christ Ministry Survivor’s School of Healing. She has served as a mentor for Alive and Well’s Immanuel Lifestyle and Prayer Ministry Training courses and recently led her first practice group for Immanuel Prayer facilitators.
Mary Anne and her husband, John, live north of Chicago, Illinois, twenty minutes from Lake Michigan. They are Mum and Dad to their “adopted” daughter, Claudine, a nurse in Rwanda. They enjoy biking and birding in the local forest preserves, relaxing at the beach, listening to classical music, singing worship songs, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
